Add star Google Drive

Adding a star is Google Drive’s equivalent of making a document a favorite. Both documents and folders can receive a star. If you add a star to a folder, any documents and folders inside it will not receive a star automatically; they needed to be starred independently.
Adding a star to an item will place a star to the right of its name in the list. It also will make the item accessible through the Starred item in the left column.

Accessing starred items

In the the main folder, My Drive, all starred items have a star to the right of the name. Simply click on one to open it. If Google Drive is in Grid View, rather than List View, documents and folders will not have a star on them.
The other way is to click on the Starred item in the left column. This will reveal all the folders and documents with stars in the main section.
When the Starred folder is displayed, you can remove any folder or document by following the steps in the previous section. The document or folder will disappear from Starred but will remain in its location in My Drive.
