Formulas overview for LibreOffice Calc

Formulas are an important part of LibreOffice Calc. There are more than 500 of them to use. This Web page is an introduction to the formulas in Calc. It contains links to pages about each formula.

Calc is like Excel and other spreadsheet applications. It has a formula bar that has a link to a function wizard, sum icon, and formula insertion buttons next to the bar. Users also can enter formulas directly in a cell. Calculations are made by numbers you enter directly into a cell and from data in other cells that you reference. It has more unique cells than Excel.

Performing calculations is the most important part of a spreadsheet. Producing results of collected data is the reason why spreadsheets are collected.

Calc’s formulas make it suitable for a wide range of industries and fields – from accounting to different areas of science.
